My friend Joanna, somewhat new to Cardis but definitely not new to dogs, has some interesting posts on her blog re: the UK Kennel Club changes.
Let me just say that I AM ALL FOR BREEDING HEALTHIER DOGS. It should be clear from the health tests I am doing and the consideration I’m putting into my first litter that I’m trying very hard to do everything I can. But the implications of changes such as these are just, well, astounding. And I shudder to think of the toehold that animal rights activists would have in this country if anything like it happened here.

Agreed, 100%. I love Joanna’s posts
I HATE the extremely disfigured dogs, but at the same point, the general public believes that Cardis are just that….
What starts with one or two breeds, WILL move onto others. If the AR movement has their way, not only will we be able to breed pedigreed (Or any!) animals, use animal products, but we’ll also not be allowed to keep animals as “slaves”.
Horrible. I never want to see a world run by the AR nuts.

Hey, thanks! I wondered why my viewed-post count just went through the roof
.
Yay for the DM results, by the way.
