…that I chose to do this to her. LOL Poor Lizard, who is normally quiet but cheerful and always following me around…but it’s too much effort for her now. Although it’s quite amusing to see that her prefered sleeping position is now on her back. She had a few blissful moments today rolling in something in the backyard, so I snapped her picture. It’s 85 degrees now so her time outside is very quick potty trips before she’s barking at the back door so she can come inside to station herself on top of the A/C vent once again.
A general poll…if you were going to x-ray, when would you do it? I’ve heard everything from day 43 to day 60. I’m impatiently tapping my foot here to find out about how many babies are in there!

Poor Lizzie – Jill says you think you look bad – wait till 8 weeks after you have them and you get down right NAKED as a J-Bird!
I usually X-ray sometime around day 50. I waited until day 58 with Kate’s litter and she started having pups a few hours later. Call you Vet and see what he/she recommends. I still say 6-8 puppies are swiming in there.

You can successfully xray any time after the first month — since Lizzie has only a couple of weeks to go, anytime now should show you the little spines. You can get a copy of the xray and play “Where’s Waldo”? Of course, we all need to know the count — or, you can not xray and just have a pool with date, time, and number of puppies.

See if you can find someone who does digital x-rays. Those things are bad ass!
I did mine of the 16th and she had them on the 19th so, like 58 days? 50 sounds like a good number to me.

Ok, I just came from seeing Lizzie in person, and believe me, the pictures do NOT do her girth justice!!! She is BIG! I can’t believe there are still 2 weeks to go! (She still managed to jump up to say hi though.)
