June goes home

After a long week or so with talking with various people who were interested in June, many of which would have made GREAT places for her to go….  she’s going to be staying very close to home.  My good friend Leslie Reed of Keel Mtn corgis dabbled in Cardigans a few years ago with her happy red girl “Candy” from Kathy Davis.  Unfortunately, Candy didn’t turn out to be a show superstar, so eventually she found a great pet home and retired.  Ever since then, Leslie has really NEEDED a tail in her life.  :)   Remarkably, she managed to resist getting a puppy when they were born, despite helping me whelp the litter and coming over several times to snuggle puppies LOL.  But June coming back home proved to be too much for her to resist.

For myself, I’m thrilled about this because she gets to stay so close!  Leslie lives about 15 minutes from me and I know will take wonderful care of Miss June.  And hopefully, she’ll get to have some fun in the show rings with her too.  I meant to take a picture today before they left, but I forgot!  Hopefully Leslie will post some soon on HER blog, http://keelmtn.com.

Nash misses her already!

Yea!! She did such awesome things with Candy, and will do even more awesome things with June! Congrats on keeping your baby close to home this time, and bringing the ’sucker’ out of Leslie!

I don’t know who the sucker really is – Jeri actually let me take her home although I had forgotten to put checks in my checbook! LOL! June is doing fine with the tailless wonders so far, but, boy, she did’t know what to make of our Molly Kate (18# Yorkie). Fortunately, Molly is the ‘hostess with the mostess’, so once Junie got over the initial shock of a large, economy size Yorkie, she was good with her.

Seriously, I am just thrilled and so happy that Jeri agreed to let June come live up the Mountain!

Well Jeri does know where you live after all :-)

I’m not sure anyone knows what to make of an 18 lb yorkie. ;-)

Glad she’s not too skeered of the tailless beasties.

    Congratulations Leslie!
Everyone needs a Cardi Comedian to round out the pack. June is a real prize and I’m so happy to hear that she’ll be close enough for Jeri to see her blossom in person!

Best wishes for a wonderful future with your beautiful new girl!

She’ll have a blast when she figures it out…

Meanwhile her sisters (Echo and Lucy) are driving me distraction, or drink….or something. I bet Jeri is getting a nice rest with only one of them around! I love Lucy but as soon as I got home today the 2 of them were tearing around the house when I just wanted a nap.

Good news! If it’s Kathy of Sunkissed here in FL, then that’s where I got my Cosmo!! Small world :) Glad to hear June found a nice, new home. Wall-E (Miles) is doing great, too :)
