Puppies Breeding here at Allegro is not undertaken lightly! We are not simply putting together 2 convenient dogs. Litters here are well thought out, researched, and have appropriate health testing done on the parents. We have spent nearly 10 years involved with this breed so while the planned litter below will be our first, we have had many mentors along the way who we believe have set us on the right course. Health and temperament are our very first priorities...I'd much rather have a whole litter of great companions who don't make the cut in the show ring, than a litter of big show winners who break down in old age or have faulty temperaments. Since good structure is a necessary component of sound health, it is likewise a very important part of our breeding plans even aside from our own hobby of dog shows. Just as our dogs live among us as family members full-time, puppies will always be born and raised in our home. They will be socialized, temperament tested, and litter trained (which helps with housebreaking) before leaving for their new families. They will also have all age appropriate vaccinations, worming, microchip, and AKC registration. Companion puppies will have AKC Limited Registration and a spay/neuter contract. Show/Performance puppies will each have an individually developed contract based on agreed-upon terms. Planned Litter We are currently planning our first litter here at Allegro! We have plans in the works to breed our lovely Lizzie in the spring of 2009. Lizzie is OFA Good, PRA Clear through lineage, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) NORMAL, fluffy N/N (non-carrier), and she will be CERF tested before breeding plans are finalized. Lizzie will be contributing to this litter not only her lovely pedigree and good health, but also her sweet calm nature and beautiful conformation. Our choice of stud is BIS/BISS Am/Can CH Reese's Bold As Brass. "Eli" is OFA Good, PRA Clear, and CERF clear. This impressive dog was awarded Best of Opposite Sex at the 2007 National Specialty at the well-seasoned age of 10! His phenomenal show career speaks for itself. As a well-proven sire Eli produces sound health and temperament, lovely structure, and great movement. Combined with Lizzie's nice bone and substance, good structure, pretty headpiece, and sweet nature, we are hoping for some really lovely puppies with the temperament to excel at whatever they put their minds to.
